Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and Takshvi Creations, Delhi, India (“we”, “us”) for using Hey Munim, our app and this website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Hey Munim.

1. Who can use Hey Munim

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law. You agree to give us accurate details and to keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

2. What Hey Munim is

Hey Munim helps your household keep track of expenses, bills, receipts, subscriptions, documents and reminders. It is a record-keeping tool. It doesn’t make payments, connect to your bank, or hold your money. It doesn’t give financial, tax, legal or insurance advice, and what the app shows is not a substitute for your own records or for a professional.

3. Early access

Hey Munim is in early access. It is free for now, features may change or be removed, and it may have bugs or be unavailable at times. If we introduce paid plans, we’ll tell you first and nothing will be charged without your say-so. Please keep your original bills and papers safe.

4. Households and members

A household has one owner and may have members and viewers. Members can add and change records; viewers can only look. Everyone in a household can see all of its records. You are responsible for the people you invite and the role you give them. Don’t add someone’s details without their knowledge.

5. Your content

The records, documents and photos you add are yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them as needed to run Hey Munim for you and your household, including sending them to the providers listed in our privacy policy. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the short backup period in the privacy policy.

6. AI features

Hey Munim can read receipts and documents with AI and suggest details. AI can make mistakes. Suggestions are never saved until you tap Save, so please check them, especially amounts and dates. Using AI reading needs your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Profile. Any totals shown in the app come from your saved records.

7. Reminders

We try to remind you before payments are due, but reminders depend on your phone, your settings and your network, and may arrive late or not at all. Paying on time stays your responsibility.

8. What you must not do

  • Break the law or use Hey Munim to harm others.
  • Store bank passwords, OTPs, card numbers or PINs in the app. We refuse what looks like a card number.
  • Upload content you have no right to share, or that is unlawful or harmful.
  • Try to get into another household’s records, probe or attack our systems, or overload them.
  • Copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

9. Our rights in the app

Hey Munim, its name, design and software belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use the app, not to own any part of it.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Hey Munim and delete your account at any time (seehow to delete your account). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk, and we’ll tell you why unless the law stops us.

11. No warranty

Hey Munim is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that its suggestions will be correct.

12. Limit on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed payment, late fee or lost opportunity, or for data lost despite our reasonable care. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing, whichever is more. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that can’t be limited by law.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Hey Munim after that, you accept the new terms.

14. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts in Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
