Delete your Hey Munim account

You can delete your account and everything in it whenever you like. This page explains how, and what is removed.

If you can’t open the app, or want us to do it

1. Email support@heymunim.comfrom the email address you use to sign in, with the subject “Delete my account”.
2. We’ll check it’s you, delete your account, and reply to confirm.

If you no longer have access to that email address, write to us anyway and tell us what you remember about the account. We’ll work out the safest way to verify it’s yours.

In the app Coming soon

A “Delete account” option inside the app is coming. Once it’s there, you’ll find it in Profile. You confirm, and the deletion happens right away. Until then, please use the email steps above.

What gets deleted

• Your account and sign-in details.
• Your household’s records: expenses, income, bills, subscriptions and the categories you created.
• Your documents, receipts and photos.

If your household has other members, you first hand ownership to another member or remove the members. The household’s shared records then stay with the remaining members, and your personal account details are deleted. While you are the only member, deleting your account deletes the household and everything in it.

Deletion happens immediately once you confirm, with no waiting period. We can’t bring your data back afterwards, so keep anything you still need before you confirm.

What stays for a short time

Copies in our backups and in file storage are removed within 30 days of deletion. During that time they aren’t used for anything.
